Synopsis: On a desperate journey through a desolate wilderness, Moses, his Midianite wife Zipporah, and their young son Eliezer seek shelter for the night. Moses, a reluctant prophet marked by terrifying divine encounters, is suddenly struck down by a life-threatening crisis instigated by the predatory and jealous voice of God. The deity demands fulfillment of an ancient, violent covenant Moses has neglected concerning his son. With Moses incapacitated and dying, Zipporah must confront this terrifying divine presence. A fiercely pragmatic woman who distrusts gods and relies on earthly instinct, she finds herself forced into an impossible position to save her husband. Facing overwhelming terror and divine wrath in the shadows of a crude inn, Zipporah takes drastic, visceral action to defy the celestial threat and protect her family. The aftermath leaves the fractured family to continue their journey under the heavy weight of the covenant and the brutal cost of survival.
